Cemre “Gem” Korman, LCSW-R (she/her) and Asha Gozzelin, LMSW (ze/zir). Both therapists are affiliates of Tree of Hope counseling and provide gender affirming care.Presenters:
Slides, lecture, handouts, group activity and case studies. Participants will receive the slides and sample letters.Teaching Methods:
Part 1 - Learning Objectives:
Participants will learn gender related terms/definitions, history and how to diagnose Gender Dysphoria.
Participants will learn more about gender affirming treatment and learn to write effective letters for Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy and surgeries.
Participants will learn how to best support transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming patients and their families.
