Cemre “Gem” Korman, LCSW-R (she/her) and Asha Gozzelin, LMSW (ze/zir). Both therapists are affiliates of Tree of Hope counseling and provide gender affirming care.Presenters:

Slides, lecture, handouts, group activity and case studies. Participants will receive the slides and sample letters.Teaching Methods:

Part 1 - Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn gender related terms/definitions, history and how to diagnose Gender Dysphoria.

  • Participants will learn more about gender affirming treatment and learn to write effective letters for Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy and surgeries.

  • Participants will learn how to best support transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming patients and their families.
